Built for two
Our tandem kayaks seat two, so couples paddle together. Because the pace is slow, there is plenty of time to talk, point things out and take it all in. The LED strip under the hull lights the water around you, and the shallow flats come alive.
How the evening goes
- Check in 15 minutes early at Overlook Park (Longboat Key Little Beach).
- Get fitted with paddles and life jackets, and hear a short safety briefing.
- Launch from the beach into calm, shallow water, then paddle out to the seagrass flats.
- Drift under the stars for about an hour while your guide points out what is moving below.
- Finish with a 15-minute hands-on show and tell on the beach.
Choosing your time
We launch at 6:30 pm, 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm every night. Sunset time shifts through the year, so the earlier launches can catch more dusk light in some seasons and are fully dark in others. See our guide to choosing a launch time.
Good to know
- It is $65 per person, with the kayak, LED lighting, gear and guide included.
- Tours are small and guided, and groups share the water with other guests, so this is a shared experience rather than a private one.
- Leave phones, wallets and keys in the car, or bring a waterproof case or floating strap for photos.
- Wildlife is a perk, not a guarantee, but most nights there is plenty to find.
Gift cards are available online if you want to give someone the night instead. See the booking section on our home page.
